Polyurethane Spray Foam

Formed by mixing and reacting chemicals to create an expanding foam, polyurethane spray foam can be sprayed into building cavities where it will mold to its surroundings. In the insulation industry, polyurethane spray foam is most commonly used for insulation, air sealing and to create a moisture barrier. Polyurethane spray foam is known to resist heat transfer extremely well and is one of the best solutions for preventing unwanted air infiltration through openings or cracks. Due to its versatile nature, Yvon Insulation uses polyurethane spray foam in many insulation projects. There are 3 different types that work best in specific locations:

  • High density polyurethane spray foam (for exterior or roofing installations)
  • Medium density polyurethane spray foam (for continuous applications)
  • Low density polyurethane spray foam (for interior cavity fills or attics)

We understand that it can be difficult to choose which polyurethane spray foam application may be best for your project, so at Yvon Insulation we make sure that our best insulation contractors help to make that informed decision with you. Please do not hesitate to call with more questions, here at Yvon Insulation we are eager to help!
